Today was a rough day. I was supposed to work this morning and I left 5 minutes later than normal. I drove past a really bad accident on my way that happened about 5 or so minutes before. I immediately prayed for the safety of those involved and called Eric. Then I got to work and my coworker wasn’t there. I just knew. I called her and she surprisingly answered the phone from the ambulance. I raced back to get her husband, but instead met them at the hospital. After a couple of hours in the emergency room she was transferred to a different hospital in downtown Indy by ambulance. I drove her husband and step daughter as they had only one car. She has a fracture in her pelvis and a few scratches and bruises. She is actually very lucky considering her small 4 door sedan was t-boned in the drivers side by a giant Hummer. The entire left side was caved in 19″. That was all the information I had when I left this afternoon to give her some private time with her family. Her family is from Illinois and met us there. I am asking that you send loving thoughts and prayers to her and her family. She is going to have a long road to recovery.
I’m very sorry to hear this and hope your co-worker is well-looked after in hosptial. I often look in at your blog when I’m on the sewcialist firehose and enjoy your sewing posts.
