Day 215: Homework

Musings of a Seamstress

This weekend marks the first in about two months that neither Eric nor I have had anything planned!  We stayed home all day!  That is why I am rocking the bare feet, no jewelry and no make-up look!

I have been working on patterning a Sith cloak for Eric today.  I have almost finished cutting out the muslin.  This muslin took 12 yards of fabric!  Muslin was just 70% off at Jo-Ann’s and I didn’t get any because I had just recently bought a 25 yard bolt and thought I had plenty to last me awhile.  This muslin has used half of my bolt and has made me regret not buying more while it was on such a great sale.

Iron free pressing

Other than that I finished the tabards last night.  They are currently underneath this stack of books and fabric getting a good pressing.  Unfortunately I cannot press the fabric much as it will scorch pretty easily.  I  left them like this last night with just a few books on them and it started to press really well.  So well, that I decided I should leave them under there for a couple of days and they will be perfect!
