Day 174: Siths and Socks

Musings of a Seamstress

Today is a sewing and laundry day.  I have neglected the laundry for far too long and must attend to it today.    On the up side, it made me realize I have a lot of clothes.  I think I will be going through them soon and figuring out what I can part with to put in the adoption garage sale that I have yet to plan.  I really need to get on that.  Sewing wise, I am working on Eric’s Star Wars costume.  I have already drafted and made the pants last month.  I am semi-drafting an undershirt pattern today since the pattern only has a dickey under the tunic.  The costume snob in me cannot handle a dickey.  I just cannot do that, it’s like costume cheating.  I am using the dickey pattern and drafting the shirt around it.  That way I still get the correct angles for the neckline plus the benefit of having a full shirt.  I will try to take some pictures as I do this and, hopefully, some of the finished undershirt with the pants I drafted.  For now a storm is rolling in so I am going to get as much done as I can just in case the power goes out.
