Day 171: Spring Sewing Swap reveal

Musings of a Seamstress

Hello readers!  This dress was not what I originally planned on wearing today but I couldn’t find what I wanted and I didn’t have a lot of time to search for it.  I must say,  I still love this dress!  I recently made a version of this pattern for a coworker who is retiring tomorrow and going on a trip to Tahiti!  It looks amazing on her and now I want to make one for myself.

Kestral of Kestral Makes hosted a Spring Sewing Swap that I participated in.  I was partnered with Anne of Pretty Grievances and I could not have asked for a cooler partner. I mean, look at what she sent me!  I love that fabric and I think I will be using it for the Butterick pattern she sent along.  Did you notice the stamps?  One is a zebra and the other is a giraffe, both wearing fancy hats!  How fun are those?  I need a stamping project now.  I feel like I was the winner of who received the coolest gifts here!

  1. Cool! Hey, so my stamp project involves stamping seahorses onto fabric so I can make cool seahorse outfits. However I have no idea how to stamp on fabric. You wanna do a stamping project together sometime?
