Day 152: May Review

McCall's 5974

Happy first day of June!  Post Me Made May and I am sporting one of my latest creations.  This is from the same April Johnston knit that I used for the skirt I wore last week.  I really like the print and am glad that I was able to squeeze two garments out of the 2 1/2 yards I had.

These last few months have been very productive for me sewing wise.  Here is my breakdown of May.

Total fabric in: 28 1/2 yards

- Total fabric out: 26 yards

+2 1/2 yards

Of the 26 yards used:

14 1/2 yards were from the stash for myself

6 yards were from the stash for Eric

4 1/2 yards were new this year for myself

Not too bad. I am going to try for negative yardage this month.  I think that should be doable as I don’t foresee any major fabric buying sprees.

Total number of garments made: 12

2 for Eric and 10 for myself

Since I only made 23 total garments last year I would say 12 in one month is pretty awesome!

For June, I have several projects lined up already.  Here’s what I’ve got in mind already.

1.) Swimsuit

2.) Dress for my brother’s graduation next weekend.  I am planning on M6559.

3.) M6700, which I just picked up today, on sale at Jo-Ann’s

4.) My first Tiramisu once the pattern arrives

5.) A tank top or two from S2603, because I really need some basic tops to go under my dress.

6.) A dress shirt or two for Eric from the new fabrics I got from Fabric Mart.

7.) My nerd girl dress that I haven’t shared yet!  It is awesome!

That’s my plan so far, what about you?
